In January 2022, Felicitas joined the PAGE team at the Department of Agricultural, Food and Agro-Environmental Sciences, University of Pisa as a PhD student. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) and the University of Ibadan, Ibadan (UI), Nigeria, respectively. In the past, her research focused on Agricultural finance, agriculture and rural development, and contract and cooperative farming. Her research interest has shifted towards agricultural digitalisation, especially among small-scale rural farmers. She is presently working on the digital readiness of farmers using the capability approach. The outcome of this research is expected to increase the adoption and usage of digital technologies in agriculture—the CODECS Horizon 2020 project supports her research. The project aims to maximise the CO-benefits of agricultural Digitalization through conducive digital ECoSystems. Felicitas’s core competencies include quantitative research and data analysis, four years of professional experience in field data collection (with Open Data Kit (ODK), CTO and survey solution; FGD, KII, and In-depth interview).
