- 13/06 – h. 10-11:30 Generative AI in Research: Lights, Shadows, and Key Competencies – Prof. Filippo Chiarello (UNIPI) and Jelena Dzakula (King’s College), in the context of CircleU. The seminar will be held online and can be attended in person at DetaiLLs, Via S. Martino (Pisa), with max. 25 participants. Following the online session, an in-person workshop will be run from 11:30 to 13:00 at DetaiLLs. The seminar examines the potential of generative AI in academic research, focusing on three essential competencies: creation, measurement, and communication. By presenting both a theoretical framework and practical exercises, we will show how generative AI can enhance scientific work while also highlighting ethical concerns and the need for responsible application. Participants will come away with a clear understanding of the strengths and challenges of this technology, as well as concrete strategies to integrate it effectively and ethically into their own research.
- 26/06 – h. 10:30-12:30 – 15.00-17:00 (online and in person DISAAA-a Department) Introduction to Foresight and Scenario Methods in research – Dr. Katerina Ciampi Stancova (OECD). The seminar/webinar explores future-oriented research methods, including scenario planning and foresight techniques, to anticipate and address emerging challenges. - 27/06 – h. 11:00 – 13:00 (online and in person DISAAA-a Department) Sustainability Ontologies and Employment in the Food Value Chain – Prof. Richard Robinson (Northumbria University, Newcastle).
