Andrea is a PhD student in Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences at University of Pisa. His studies and research activity are focused on the development of advanced biocontrol strategies through the use of Artificial Intelligence in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and socio-economic assessments. He is an agronomist interested in exploring new alternatives and innovative approaches to reduce ordinary pest treatments in order to protect environmental health, farmers and consumers by using of precision farming tools, in accordance with “EU Green New Deal” and the “EU Farm to Fork” strategy. Currently, Andrea is also working as agronomist and technical advisor for several foreign and Italian food companies.
