She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher dealing with feed additives, ruminal fermentations, rumen microbiome, GHG emissions, and up-cycle of Agri-industrial co-products in the PLAS team of the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment (DAFE) of the University of Pisa, Italy. In the same Department, in 2016, she got herB.S. degree in Agricultural Science and in 2018, her M.S. degree in Biosafety and food quality. After a year of working on dairy products quality aspects in the private industry, she started a 3-year PhD program with an activity titled “Tannin extracts and essential oils as dietary additives to modulate rumen fermentation and mitigate ruminal methane and ammonia production” under the supervision of Prof. Marcello Mele. During such a period, she had the opportunity of three different PhD visiting periods (Agrovet- Strickhof and Agroscope, Switzerland), which were particularly relevant for conducting the PhD experimental trials, learning new methodologies, and exchanging ideas and opinions with foreign researchers and Professors. In May 2023, she defended the PhD title in Agricultural Science (focused on Animal Nutrition), and she directly started a 3-year postdoc, which is allowing her to continue cooperating in national and European working groups and projects.
