Fatjon Cela obtained a Master’s Degree (110/110 cum laude) in Agri-Food Production and Agri-ecosystems Management at the University of Pisa (Italy) in 2015. The title of the Master’s Degree experimental thesis was: “Effects of boron and mycorrhizal fungi on basil (Ocimum basilicum L.), with particular reference to the accumulation of secondary metabolites (rosmarinic acid)”. He obtained professional qualification for Agronomist in 2016. He has been awarded with two research grants for the greenhouse management and soilless cultivation at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment by the Tuscany Region (2017-2019). During this period, he learned important skills with different cultivation techniques in indoor farming and high-tech greenhouse management. Currently, he is PhD candidate (2019-2023) at the University of Pisa where he is investigating how the Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) can influence plant response to sub-optimal or stressful growing conditions in semi-artificial cropping systems.
