After completing my Master’s degree in Agri-food Production and Agroecosystem Management, I carried out an experimental thesis on the water and yield response of pear trees to precision irrigation using Decision Support Systems (DSS). I was awarded a research fellowship within a regional project dedicated to transferring highly innovative technologies for decision-making and implementing irrigation in vineyards and orchards.
My doctoral research focuses on the application of the SEBAL (Surface Energy Balance Algorithm for Land) model to estimate evapotranspiration, as well as on the implementation of root water uptake functions studied through eRT (Electrical Resistivity Tomography) technology. Driven by strong scientific curiosity and a desire to combine technological innovation with agronomic knowledge, I aim to contribute concretely to the transition toward a more resilient agriculture and a more conscious use of water resources in the Tuscan region.
